When you connect Gusto to your ZipBooks account you’ll be prompted to add, ignore or link existing employees. However, if you add a new or remove an employee on either account, you can sync contacts from the Time & Pay page in ZipBooks.

  1. Login to ZipBooks and select Tracking from the menu

  2. Click on Time & Pay

  3. Find the calendar for the new user. Below the user name click “Add

  4. Choose whether to Add to Gusto or Link to an existing Gusto employee.

  5. Click Done

This user will now show up under “People” in Gusto. You’ll need to complete setup for this employee before you can run their first payroll. 

To save time, take advantage of Gusto’s self-onboarding by clicking “Invite this employee to enter their own details online.”
